I am semi-accepting of the fact that I have to have a c-section: Prior section in this area of FL require a repeat one, and apparently because of HPV and the displaysia (sp) that was discovered recently, also requires that I have a c-section. What I am grumpy about is the fact that my OB says I have to have it a week to 10 days before my due date. ( Read more... )

A couple years ago i was diagnosed with hpv after a abnormal pap. Since then every pap has came back "normal". Since becoming pregnant, i have had an outbreak of hpv warts. Has anyone else experienced this, and will it affect my baby during vaginal birth? 35w6d

 So I just had my first doctors appointment this past monday at 14 weeks. He decided to do a full pap since I hadn't had one this year. I just got the results back yesterday and turns out I have HPV..again. Last year I had a pap done that came back positive for HPV. So I was watching on the Doctor that a womans baby died after birth due to her not knowing she was having an outbreak or knowing in general (can't quite remember that part). Anyways, I' was diagnosed with hsv 6 or so years ago but haven't had an outbreak since. My doctor just prescribed me the antivirals for a "just in case" and I was told to take ( Read more... )

So I'm only 16w3d I have an ultrasound April 16th to find out the sex. But my main question is, when do I have to know for certain what I want to do for my birthing plan. Well, I have to admit that being almost 14 weeks along I am finally getting excited. For some reason my past experiences have made it difficult for me to get excited about things easily. After hearing the heartbeat for the first time this past Tuesday, I finally started to allow myself to be happy & relax more.
